Phillip’s Sanctuary Mountain Resort is conveniently located in Sitio Panlilingan, Pestano Farm Road, Antipolo City. It is accessible in 2 hours driving via Ortigas Extension going to Marikina-Infanta Highway.
The 30-hectare property not only serves as a resort and a team building facility but a haven for thousands of trees and a farm as well. It is a home for 18,000 hardwood trees and 20,000 fruit-bearing trees. For 20 years the property was only intended as a farm but in the early 2000s, they decided to develop it as a team building facility. With increasing demand, they continually expand and add more amenities to the resort.
Team Building at Phillip’s Sanctuary Mountain Resort
I think every employee always looks forward to their company’s team building to somehow unwind and relax from work. To better know their associates deeper in a more in a setting away from the stress of our workplaces. However most of the time this doesn’t really happen, for most team building only equates to drinking sessions and karaoke. It is not entirely bad but it could be more productive!
Phillip’s Sanctuary provides a venue for different activities that allow participants to be actively engaged in time-gauged military courses. Activities which can easily make everyone’s adrenaline to rush and be competitive!
I deeply commend the facilitators who simply kept their cool and handled everyone professionally while everyone’s adrenaline is surging high. They also provided a time to give an explanation of what the activities meant and how it can foster better working relations among the participants.
A 5-foot high swimming pool is also available and a kiddy pool as well. They are really strict on implementing having swimming attire. It is advised to avoid denim and cotton apparel.
Though I wasn’t able to spend a night here, I can say that the accommodations are spacious, this is one of their huts that can accommodate 70 persons inside.
Wishing to truly bask in the ambiance of the forest and brave the cold of mountainside night? They have an area for pitching tents. This is something that I would really love to do next time.
The honesty store is awesome! You can buy snacks and souvenirs from the store and simply drop your payment in a box. It would be best to give exact payment as they don’t give out change, however, all proceeds go to a chosen charity so no hurt feelings at all.
Medical Nurses are available 24/7 to attend to any medical need they may also transport patient to the nearest hospital in case of emergency.
Mosquitoes, since it is a mountainside and they have a lagoon, mosquitoes are prevalent in the area. Please do bring insect-repellent lotions and apply them periodically.
Cellular reception is weak Smart has a minimal reception but Globe subscribers is completely dead. It could be a good thing so that all of you may engage to the activities more. However, it could be a downside especially if you are expecting important communication.
They only accept guest with minimum of 15 persons. You may reach them for further inquiries and quotations.
How to Get There
Phillip’s Sanctuary can easily be accessed via Ortigas Extension and Marikina-Infanta Highway. An hour drive is more than enough but in case of heavy traffic it would be best to allow at least 2 hours travel time.
3 stars out of 5
I love the ambiance of the place being in the mountain side full of trees and fresh air. Their activities are fun and will definitely allow igniting your competitive personality. The resort should invest more on bathrooms and comfort rooms it is simply not enough to 750-900 guest that they expect on a daily basis. Water supply is also a challenge; I went uphill to the next bathroom because we don’t have water on the one nearest to us. Their version of honesty store is different than what I expected, unlike in Batanes where you make get your item, place your payment and get your change, here you only put your payment on the box and you don’t have an option to get your change.
Phillip’s Sanctuary offers a perfect venue for company team building, or simply a place for friends and family to hang-out and enjoy the outdoors. The mountain resort is plotted in a massive land area which means it can accommodate large groups. This is a great place to stay away from gadgets and to be closer to nature and your associates.
Overall the area is clean and staffs are accommodating. I also enjoyed the day spending it with my workmates and having our team building here in Phillip’s Sanctuary Mountain Resort.
